This Project is not about street photography, nor about New York. Actually, it does not have anything to do with a search for spontaneity or the pursuit of new ways of looking. This side of nowhere is about me, about being alone in the world, posing no questions but looking for answers that resonate with me.It all started in 2017 when I created a project in the streets of New York, a city that is very far from the context I live in, but that cinema and great photographers have made so familiar. It seemed very interesting to start in a place that had been chosen as a visual reference by so many others, since this allowed comparison, but also because it taught me surprising lessons about myself and my conflicting relation with the rest of Humanity.
I cannot say that I got the answer to everything, but NY is endless…and searching is so much fun.

“I have always been interested in people, its presence or absence. All my work, be it portrait or street photography, is a frustrated attempt to understand people. Something I see as anthropology and anthropophagy, perpetually failing to find all the answers.”
